William C. Redfield

William Cox Redfield (1858 - 1932) served as U.S. Secretary of Commerce March 5, 1913 to October 31, 1919 under President Woodrow Wilson. Redfield was the first commerce secretary in the United States, taking office immediately after the Department of Commerce and Labor was divided into two departments, the Department of Commerce and the Department of Labor.
