William Grainger Blount (1784-May 21, 1827) was a statesman from Tennessee, the son of William Blount and the nephew of Thomas Blount. He was born near New Bern, North Carolina in Craven County and attended the New Bern Academy.

He moved with his parents to Knoxville, Tennessee in 1792 and studied law. He was admitted to the bar in 1805 and commenced practice in Knoxville.
