Winton Blount
Winton "Red" Blount (February 1, 1921 in Union Springs, Alabama - October 2002) was an industrialist and philanthropist. Blount Brothers Construction, which he founded with his brother Houston after World War Two, built many notable structures, including the New Orleans Superdome, the launch pads at Cape Canaveral, and the University of Saudi Arabia .
Blount was also involved in politics, and served under Richard Nixon as Postmaster-General from 1969 to 1971.
