Woodlands, Glasgow
Woodlands is a residential area in the west-end of Glasgow, Scotland. It is to the east of Hillhead, and to the south of Maryhill, other residential areas of the city. Kelvingrove Park borders Woodlands to the south of the area, the M8 motorway is to the east.
Woodlands has a substantial Asian minority (primarily Muslim) as well as a number of students as residents as the area is in the vicinity of the University of Glasgow (indeed, the university's Education Faculty is sited in the area).
The housing stock mostly consists of sandstone tenement housing.
