Woodside is a neighborhood in Queens County, New York in the USA. It is a part of New York City located on Long Island. New York City's geographical center is in Woodside, a marker can be found on Queens Borough Boulevard and 58th Street.
Woodside is the center of Queens' Irish-American community.
Woodside is a very diverse neighborhood as well. There are many Asian-American families, especially Korean and Chinese, as well as Indian, Bengali, Muslim and Hispanic groups. Some areas are widely residential and very quiet, while others are more urban.
Woodside provides easy access to the rest of the city, the 7 subway line makes stops at 52nd, 61st and 69th Streets on Roosevelt Avenue with a LIRR station at 61st. The Q18, Q32, and Q60 buses run throughout the neighborhood.
