Word of God
The term The Word of God is a common English translation of the Greek New Testament term "Logos". (see there for more information). According to most branches of Christianity, the Logos is Jesus.
In more modern times, especially since the Protestant Reformation, the term "The Word of God" has more and more become a synonym of "Holy Scripture", and today it is mostly used as a believers' term for the Bible.
