Worshipful Master
In Freemasonry, the head of a Blue Lodge is called the Worshipful Master. This office is obtained by "going through the chairs", a process of serving in a series of offices of gradually-increasing responsibilites until the highest position is reached. Officially, the position is elected by the membership of the lodge, it can be revoked only by higher Masonic authorities.
