Write once, compile anywhere
Write once, compile anywhere (WOCA) means writing software that compiles and is thus useable on all platforms. As difference to Write once, run anywhere, care of compatibility is taken at code level, instead of binary level compatibility. There are many languages that follow WOCA. WOCA is the philosophy that cross-platform applications in langauges like C take. It normally involves using special cross-platform libraries for things like internet sockets and GUIs.
