Yakovlev Yak-4
The Yakovlev Yak-4 (Service names Yak-4, BB-22 ("Blizhnij Bombardirivschik", "short range bomber") was a Soviet bomber aircraft, a development of the Ya-22/Yak-2.
Used more powerful engines than predecessors. Gunner/bomber position right behind pilot's, turret was not retractible any more. It was a fast good-looking light bomber, but too vulnerable for ground-attack missions. The few built were later used for night missions and high-altitude reconaissance. Two seats. Two M-105R. 1941. 90 were built.
