Yamato gun (StarCraft)
In the PC strategy game StarCraft, the Yamato Gun is the special weapon for the Terran Battlecruisers that can be researched at the Physics Lab (Science Facility). This option is enabled after completion of research and can allow the Battlecruisers to fire a tremendous beam of high-energy that can obliterate any small units or buildings in one hit, such as the photon cannon.
The name is a refrence to the classic anime series Space Battleship Yamato, and the title starship's massive and powerful wave motion gun.
