Yanqui Diaz
Yanqui Diaz is a professional Heavyweight boxer. Born on January 23, 1976 in Pinar Del Rio , Cuba, Diaz amassed a ring record of 13 wins (8 by way of knockout) and 2 losses in 15 professional outings. On August 13, 2004, Diaz upset highly regarded Cuban Heavyweight prospect and former Cruiserweight champion Juan Carlos Gomez with a vicious 1 round TKO. He continued his successes on the Heavyweight scene by scoring victories over Marcellus Brown and Vaughn Bean . However, his ascension was derailed on January 22, 2005 via a 5 round TKO loss to Nigerian power puncher Samuel Peter. Diaz lives and fights out of Las Vegas, NV.
