ZGMF-X11A Regenerate Gundam

In the anime series Gundam Seed, ZAFT created a series of advanced mobile suits based on technology reverse-engineered from the captured Earth Alliance G Project suits. Like their EA predecessors, the ZAFT Gundams were armed with advanced beam weaponry and protected by Phase Shift armor. However, a additional technology was incorporated as well: the Neutron Jammer Canceller, which countered the effects of the ubiquitous N-Jammers and allowed these suits to be powered by nuclear reactors. This gave them almost limitless combat endurance, even with Phase Shift armor activated.

One of these suits was the ZGMF-X11A Regenerate Gundam, which appeared only in the manga side story Gundam SEED Astray. The Regenerate Gundam was the third of the series, and unlike the previous two units, the ZGMF-X09A Justice and ZGMF-X10A Freedom Gundams, it was incompatible with the METEOR support system. Instead, the enormous Regenerate Gundam was derived primarily from the GAT-X303 Aegis Gundam, and could transform into a mobile armor attack mode. The Regenerate Gundam was armed with an extremely powerful hyper impulse beam cannon, capable of destroying a space fortress with a single shot, and four long beam swords. However, its most unique feature was the ability to "regenerate" damaged parts in mid-battle by ejecting them and receiving replacements from its mothership. In addition, the cockpit was located in its backpack, which mounted a pair of lightwave pulse thrusters similar to those on the METEOR units. The backback could detach from Regenerate and dock with other mobile suits, seizing control of them in the process. This mobile suit was piloted by deformed ZAFT Special Forces pilot Ash Gray , and was destroyed in a battle against the MBF-P02 Gundam Astray Red Frame and the MBF-P03-2 Gundam Astray Blue Frame Second.
