Zaventem
Zaventem (formerly Saventhem) is a municipality in the province of Flemish Brabant, in Flanders, one of the three regions of Belgium. The municipality comprises the towns of Nossegem , Sint-Stevens-Woluwe, Sterrebeek and Zaventem proper. On January 1st, 2004 Zaventem had a total population of 28,070 (13,631 males and 14,439 females). The total area is 27.62 km² which gives a population density of 1,016.15 inhabitants per km².
The Brussels International Airport is located in this municipality.
The official language is Dutch (as everywhere in Flanders). Small local minorities consist of nationals from many European Union-countries, USA and Canada, and from French-speakers that came from Wallonia or Brussels.
