Zed (band)

Zed are a New Zealand pop/rock group, originally consisting of three members (Nathan King (lead vocalist and guitarist), Ben Campbell bassist and vocalist and Adrian Palmer drummer) from Christchurch, New Zealand. The band released their debut single Oh! Daisy followed by I'm Cold and Glorifilia. They then released their first number one New Zealand single Renegade Fighter with the newest addition to the band, Andy Lynch (a second guitarist and son of former "Chick", Suzanne Lynch) from Auckland. They then went on to release further singles Come On Down and Drivers Side all off the debut album Silencer. Zed took a long break after the huge success of Silencer to work on some new material in Weed, California, United States Of America for their follow-up album, This Little Empire. The first single off that album was Starlight, a track penned by Rivers Cuomo of Weezer which also featured on the soundtrack for the 2002 film, The Hot Chick. This song gave them quite a bit of American exposure. They then returned to New Zealand to release This Little Empire and their second single from that album Hard To Find Her followed by Don't Worry Baby (a cover of The Beach Boys classic), She Glows and most recently Firefly.
