Zigzagoon is a Pokémon that is very common in Hoenn. Like real raccoons, its curiosity makes it have a tendency to pick up items. It is this special Ability that makes it so valuable to Pokémon Trainers. Even Pokémon Games.com suggests capturing a Zigzagoon at the start of the game just so it picks up items!
A version of Zigzagoon that knows Extremespeed can be obtained Pokémon Box.
Pokédex Description
According to the Pokédex, Zigzagoon "is very curious" and therefore "restlessly wanders everywhere at all times." It also rubs its bristly back hair "against trees to leave its territorial markings" and "may play dead to fool foes in battle."
Anime Appearances
Zigzagoon, being as common in Hoenn as it is, has made several appearances in the Pokémon Anime. It first appeared in Pokémon Advance in the episode "In the Knicker of Time!" where a boy dresses up in a Zigzagoon costume to capture one. It then appeared belonging to a trainer that had a Pelipper who could perform moves such as flamethrower and thunderbolt because it concealed a Magby and a Magnemite in its mouth. Its third prominent appearance occurs in the episode featuring the Winstrate family, where Victor uses one to battle Brock.
Name Origin
The name Zigzagoon originates from the words zigzag and raccoon.
