Video games are very popular, especially among young people. While playing video games, many of us become very alert and focused as they attempt to complete the game successfully. In this experiment, you will determine how blood pressure is affected by playing video games, both alone and in competition with other players.

Part I *Have a participant get into a relaxed state. They may want to lie down or sit in a comfortable chair. *Take the participant?s blood pressure *Record the information on the data sheet. This score will serve as a baseline to compare the blood pressure levels after playing. *Allow the participant to play one video game without being tested. This will allow participant to get use to the game and the experimental setting. *After the second game, take the participant?s blood pressure. *Record this information in the data sheet. *Repeat this process with the remaining participants.
