Beak Adaptation
Beak Adaptation is how a bird's beak shape matches the type of food it eats.
Think of it this way
A kitchen drawer holds a thin skewer, a wide flat scoop, and a short heavy mallet. Each tool fits one job: poking tight spots, lifting flat things, or cracking shells. A bird's beak works the same way — its shape is built to match its food.
Explaining beak adaptation by grade level
Look at a bird with a short, thick beak. It cracks seeds with ease. A bird with a long, thin beak pokes into flowers for nectar. Each beak works best for that bird's own kind of food.
