Boiling Point
Boiling Point is the temperature at which a liquid turns into gas and forms bubbles.
Think of it this way
A pot of water sits on a hot burner. As the water heats up, small bubbles form at the bottom and rise to the top. At a set heat level — the boiling point — bubbles form fast and the whole surface churns. Below that level, the water stays calm no matter how long you wait.
Explaining boiling point by grade level
When you heat water on a stove, it gets hotter and hotter. At some point, big bubbles start to form and rise. That is when the water has reached its boiling point. On a tall mountain, the water starts to bubble at a lower heat.
