Brick Making
Brick making is mixing sand, clay, and water, then shaping and drying the mix into strong blocks.
Think of it this way
Making mud pies is the same idea. You mix dirt, sand, and water into a thick paste in a bowl. Then you press the paste into a square tray and let it dry hard in the sun. The dry block holds its shape because the clay binds all the sand grains together.
Explaining brick making by grade level
When you mix sand and clay with water, it sticks like mud. You press it into a mold to make a shape. When it dries, it gets hard like a rock. Bigger sand grains leave more gaps, and that changes how strong your brick turns out.
