Cache Memory
Cache memory is a small, fast storage space that keeps data your computer uses most often close at hand.
Think of it this way
A cook keeps a small tray of spices right on the counter. The spices used most often — salt, pepper, garlic — stay on the tray. Rarely used spices go back in the cabinet. The tray is cache memory: small, close, and fast to reach.
Explaining cache memory by grade level
Your computer needs data to work. Some data gets used a lot. Cache is like a pocket that holds what you need most. It helps your computer find things fast.
