Emotion Recognition
Emotion Recognition is the ability to tell how someone feels by reading their face, voice, or body.
Think of it this way
Three jars sit on a shelf, each filled to a different level. One is nearly empty, one is half full, and one is at the brim. You can tell how much is in each jar just by looking. A face works the same way: raised brows, a tight mouth, or wide eyes each show a feeling.
Explaining emotion recognition by grade level
Look at a friend's face. A smile means they feel happy. A frown means they feel sad. You read these clues without thinking about it. Your brain has learned what each face shape means since you were very young.
