Error Analysis
Error analysis is figuring out how far off your measurements are from the true answer.
Think of it this way
You pour a cup of water and aim for the 8-ounce line. Some pours land at 7.5 ounces, others at 8.5. The gap between each pour and the true mark is your error. Laying all your pours side by side shows how spread out your results fall.
Explaining error analysis by grade level
When you draw a shape to guess a number, your guess is close but not exact. The difference between your guess and the right answer is the error. Bigger shapes with more sides give smaller errors. Checking your error helps you see if your method is working.
