Facial Expressions
Facial expressions are the way your face moves to show feelings like happy, sad, or angry.
Think of it this way
A bowl of water shows its state through the surface. When the water is still, the surface lies flat and calm. When you stir it, the surface rises and dips in waves. The bowl stays the same, but its surface shifts shape to show what is happening inside.
Explaining facial expressions by grade level
Your face changes when you feel things. A smile means happy. A frown means sad. When you look at a friend, you can tell how they feel just by watching their face.
