Game Theory
Game theory is the study of picking the best move when your choice depends on what others do.
Think of it this way
Two players share a pizza. Each must pick how many slices to take before seeing the other's choice. If both grab too many, not enough slices are left. The best move depends on what the other player picks.
Explaining game theory by grade level
Think about playing tic-tac-toe with a friend. You each take turns and pick a square. Your best move depends on what your friend does next. Thinking about their next move first helps you win or tie.
