Lamination
Lamination is bonding thin layers together so the combined piece is stronger than any single layer alone.
Think of it this way
A stack of lasagna shows how layers build strength. Each pasta sheet is thin and easy to tear on its own. Stack it with sauce and cheese, and the whole block holds its shape under a fork.
Explaining lamination by grade level
One thin sheet of wood bends and snaps with ease. But glue several thin sheets on top of each other and the stack holds firm. The layers work as a team. A beam made from stacked, glued sheets can hold far more weight than one thick piece.
