Ocean Temperature
Ocean temperature is how warm or cold seawater is, which changes how much salt the water can hold.
Think of it this way
Hot water in a pot can hold more dissolved sugar than cold water in a glass. Picture two clear jars: one warm, one cold. Drop the same number of sugar cubes into each. The warm jar dissolves more cubes, just like warm and cold ocean water hold salt differently.
Explaining ocean temperature by grade level
The ocean is not the same warmth in every spot. Some parts are warm and some are cold. When you heat up salt water, the salt acts in a new way. Warm water and cold water do not hold salt the same.
