Perception
Perception is how your brain makes sense of what your eyes, ears, tongue, and skin detect.
Think of it this way
When you sort berries into bowls, your brain does more than just see red. Your eyes send signals, your fingers feel texture, and your nose picks up the scent. The brain takes all those inputs and builds one clear picture: ripe berry, ready to eat. That full picture is perception — raw signals turned into meaning.
Explaining perception by grade level
Your eyes see a red ball roll by. Your brain thinks it went fast. A white ball rolls the same speed, but it seems slower. Your brain can be tricked by color.
