Power Series
Power Series is a way to add numbers in a pattern to find a total that seems endless.
Think of it this way
You pour a cup of water into a bowl, then half a cup, then a quarter. Each pour is half the last one. The pours keep getting smaller, but the bowl never fills past two cups total. That fixed limit is what a power series adds up to.
Explaining power series by grade level
Think of a shape you draw on a big piece of paper. You add smaller and smaller pieces to its edge. Each new piece is tinier than the one before it. They shrink so fast the total size stays about the same.
