Predator-Prey Relationship

Predator-Prey Relationship is the link between animals that hunt and the animals they hunt for food.

Think of it this way

Two jars sit on a shelf, one full of red balls and one with a few blue balls. Each round, a blue ball is taken out for each red ball put in. When the red jar is full, blue balls get taken out faster. When the blue jar runs low, fewer red balls go in and the blue jar slowly refills.

Explaining predator-prey relationship by grade level

Some moths have wing colors that match tree bark. Birds that eat moths have a hard time seeing them. Moths that blend in best stay safe the longest. The ones that stand out get caught and eaten first.
