Probability in Genetics
Probability in Genetics is using math to predict which traits parents are likely to pass to their offspring.
Think of it this way
Two bags sit side by side — one for each parent. Each bag holds one red ball and one blue ball. You draw one ball from each bag and drop the pair into a tray. A grid of all four pairs shows each combo has the same chance.
Explaining probability in genetics by grade level
Flip a coin ten times and write down each flip. Some flips are heads and some are tails. Traits pass from parents the same way. The mix is random, so each child is a bit different.
