Water Pressure

Water Pressure is the push that water makes against things because of its own weight.

Think of it this way

A full glass of water presses down on your hand when you hold it from below. The water near the bottom pushes harder than the water near the top. More water above means more weight, and more weight means more push. That is why a hole low on a glass leaks faster than a hole high up.

Think about water pouring from a tall bottle onto a small wheel. The water pushes harder when it falls from up high. That push comes from the weight of the water above it. More water stacked up means a stronger push down below.
