Dose-Response
Dose-response is how much a living thing reacts based on how much of something it gets.
Think of it this way
Adding a pinch of salt to soup makes it taste better. Adding a cup of salt makes it inedible. The amount you add changes the result in the pot. More of something does not always mean more benefit — the size of the dose shapes the response.
Explaining dose-response by grade level
A little salt in water may not hurt a seed. A lot of salt can stop it from growing at all. The more salt you add, the worse it gets for the seed. The amount you use changes what happens.
