Fingerprint Analysis
Fingerprint Analysis is the study of unique ridge patterns on fingers to identify people or examine surfaces.
Think of it this way
Every person's fingers leave a one-of-a-kind mark on a glass. The ridges on your fingertip press oil onto the surface in a pattern. That oil pattern is like a tiny stamp — no two stamps are the same. Dusting the glass with powder makes the hidden marks show up.
Explaining fingerprint analysis by grade level
Each finger has tiny lines on it. No two people have the same lines. You can press your finger on a cold plate to see them. The marks you leave are called fingerprints.
