Morse Code
Morse Code is a way to send messages using patterns of short and long signals.
Think of it this way
Tapping on a table sends a message through short taps and long taps. A short tap is a dot. A long tap is a dash. Patterns of dots and dashes stand for letters, so a sequence of taps spells out words.
Explaining morse code by grade level
You can build a simple telegraph to send messages. You tap a button to make short or long clicks. Short clicks and long clicks stand for each letter. A friend hears the clicks and figures out your words.
