pH and Reaction Rate
pH and Reaction Rate is how acidic or basic a liquid is changes how fast things break down or react.
Think of it this way
Vinegar breaks down baking soda fast — the powder fizzes and is gone in seconds. Plain water barely reacts with the same powder. Soapy water is even slower. The type of liquid controls how fast the powder breaks apart.
Explaining ph and reaction rate by grade level
Think about eating food. Your stomach has strong juice inside that breaks food apart. If that juice were weaker, food would break down much slower. The stronger the juice, the faster it works on your food.
