Skin Prick Test
A skin prick test checks if a tiny drop placed on your skin makes you have an allergic reaction.
Think of it this way
Place a few drops of different liquids onto a flat tray. Some drops sit still and do nothing. Others make the tray surface bubble and change color right away. You are testing which liquid causes a reaction and which ones don't.
Explaining skin prick test by grade level
A doctor puts a small drop on your arm. Then they make a tiny poke in the skin. If the spot gets red and puffy, you may be allergic. It helps find out which foods make you feel sick.
