Temperature Measurement
Temperature Measurement is how we use tools like thermometers to find out how hot or cold something is.
Think of it this way
A thin glass tube sits in a bowl of hot soup. A red liquid inside the tube rises as the soup heats it. The higher the liquid climbs, the hotter the soup. The tube works like a ruler for heat. The level gives you a number for how warm things are.
Explaining temperature measurement by grade level
A thermometer shows you a number for how warm or cold your body is. You can check your forehead, mouth, or ear. Each spot may give a slightly different number. That is because some parts of your body hold more heat than others.
