Urine Composition is the mix of water, salts, and waste that your kidneys filter from your blood.
Think of it this way
A jar of water sits on the counter with dark dots of salt mixed in. Pour more water in, and the dots spread far apart, so the liquid looks clear. Pour less water in, and the dots stay packed tight, so it turns dark. The blend of water and dots in the jar is its makeup.
Explaining urine composition by grade level
When you drink a lot of water, your pee looks light and clear. When you drink less, it turns dark yellow. The color changes because your body adds more or less water to the waste it needs to flush out.
